Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Brigid’s,
As we make our way through the halfway mark of Term 2, Winter has certainly hit us with a bang!! Please make sure you stay warm and dry. Again we have our colds and flu’s that begin our winter season so please keep students at home if they are so sick so we do not spread it through the whole community.
What an exciting day our Foundation students had on Tuesday. When I popped into the classroom we did not have students, we had a menagerie of animals - Vicki Vulture, Daisy Dog
and Wilbur Whale.
The children enjoyed a fun-filled day of Milo’s Birthday party games, a scavenger hunt and finished the day with some delicious party food.

National Reconciliation Week began on 27 May and finished yesterday - 3 June. Our school community were incredibly excited to bring this year's theme, "All In" to life.
This theme reminds us that reconciliation belongs to everyone. It requires active commitment from every single student, staff member and family. Our children enjoyed spending their HUB time creating a lovely display in our hall.

Next week we are running our annual St Vincent de Paul Winter Food Appeal. Our Mini Vinnie Leaders, Will S, Jake E, Lex M, Lizzie D, Ava M, Amilia A and Allegra P, are working hard on our Winter Food Appeal to help our friends at St Vincent de Paul, Mordialloc. Our Feast of the Sacred Heart is coming up next Friday 12th of June. This year, more than ever our friends at St Vincent de Paul say their shelves are very empty. We will be holding a ‘Casual Clothes’ day on Thursday, 11th June. All children who bring a food donation to school can wear casual clothes.
They are in desperate need of grocery items:
pasta, pasta sauce
canned goods, fruit, tuna and baked beans
toiletries.
All donations will be greatly appreciated. (Please check the use-by dates.) Donations can be dropped into the Office anytime between now and Monday 15th of June. We look forward to your continued support.
Our amazing Fundraising Team has been very busy organising our social night on Friday June 19th. We have a plethora of prizes for our silent auction, spinning wheel and raffles but I do believe that the 2 x $500 off your school fees is the hot property for the night!

Some of the auction pieces include:
2 x 2 Medallion Club seats at Marvel (Level 2 Premium seating!) thanks to Bendigo Bank Parkdale
Little Tackers Sailing Course - thanks to Chelsea Yatch Club
Ultimate Skin Treatment - thanks to Intelligent Beauty

Skateboard Coaching Voucher - thanks to Curbside Coaching
St Felix Distillery Pack - thanks to St Felix Distillery
