Message From Our Principal
Mrs Jackie Stockdale
As we wrap up Term 2, I want to take a moment to thank our entire school community for a wonderful term filled with learning, growth and connection.
This term has seen our students take part in a wide range of rich learning experiences, excursions, liturgies and special events, each one a reminder of the strong sense of community and care that exists here at St Patrick’s. We’ve also continued to make great progress in our learning and wellbeing goals, and it’s been a joy to see our students continue to grow in confidence and independence.
Thank you to our staff for their ongoing commitment and care, to our families for your continued support, and to our students for their enthusiasm, resilience and positivity.
Wishing you all a safe, restful and enjoyable break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3 on Monday, July 13th.

We are delighted to share the success of our new Breakfast Program, which has quickly become a valued part of our school community. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, students have the opportunity to enjoy a healthy and nutritious breakfast in a welcoming environment, helping them start the day ready to learn and thrive. The program has already had a positive impact, supporting student wellbeing, encouraging social connections, and ensuring that every child has access to a great start to their school day. We extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters whose generosity and commitment have made this wonderful initiative possible.

A big thank you to the Tongala Lady Lions Club for their generous donation of $500 to support our Breakfast Program. Our School Captains, Charlotte and Jim proudly accepted a cheque on behalf of St Patrick’s. The donation has been used to purchase a new toaster for the program, helping us establish a positive start to the day for our students. We greatly appreciate the ongoing support of our wonderful community and thank the Tongala Lady Lions Club for their generosity. The Lions Club ladies are welcome to come and have breakfast with us whenever they like!

Nine of our 3-6 students took part in the Lions Club Public Speaking Competition. These students put in a great amount of work at home writing their speeches and have spent time perfecting them for presentation. I was incredibly proud of everyone’s courage and enthusiasm as they presented to the judges today. I would like to congratulate our finalists Angus and Amelia and our runners up Buddy and Maddi. I wish these students all the best as they begin to prepare for the next round of the competition.

Thank You for Supporting Our Winter Coat Appeal!
I was overwhelmed by the generosity of our school community. Thanks to your kindness, we received an incredible number of coat donations for our Winter Coat Appeal. We are pleased to share that all donated coats have now been delivered to the Tongala Community House, where they will help keep local families warm throughout the colder months. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated. Your generosity and community spirit will make a real difference to those in need this winter. Together, we have shown the power of kindness and what can be achieved when a community comes together to support one another.
Thank you for helping us spread warmth this winter!!

Thank You, Kyabram Club! We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Kyabram Club for their generous donation to our school community. A special thank you to Ben for visiting our school today. It was wonderful to share photos from our 100 Kids Party, which was made possible through the Kyabram Club's support last year. The event was a fantastic celebration for our students and created many lasting memories. We are incredibly grateful for this year's donation, which will be directed towards our Breakfast Program. This support will help ensure that our students have access to a nutritious start to the day, setting them up for success in their learning. We greatly appreciate the Kyabram Club's ongoing commitment to supporting local children and families. Thank you for making a positive difference in our school community.

Congratulations to our Semester 1 Sewing Group who presented their masterpieces to the school community last week. They worked diligently on creating and sewing their bags from scratch!!! Thanks to Pat, Gayle and Gillian for the generous time you haven given to teach our students.

Our Foundation students proudly led their first Liturgy last week, sharing the beautiful message that “Little Hands Can Do Big Kind Things”. The students did an amazing job reading, singing and participating throughout the celebration. It was wonderful to see their confidence shine as they presented their Liturgy to our school community. It was wonderful to welcome the many special people in our students lives who joined us for the Liturgy. We are very proud of our Foundation students and the fantastic job they did today leading their first Liturgy.

I am sure you would agree that this is why families should choose St Patrick's for their child's education in 2027:
