Stage 3 PSSA - Soccer

Stage 3 girls played their first Winter PSSA soccer game against a very strong opposition — John Purchase Public School. The girls stayed close together to defend against the opposition’s attacks during the first quarter of the game. When fatigue began to set in, the Roselea girls executed their pre-planned counterattack, scoring 2 goals within 3 minutes.

John Purchase showed great concentration in the second half, scoring a goal right at the start. However, Ash H from 6L took matters into her own hands by passing the ball into the back of the net, completing her hat-trick for the day.

It was a tough decision to choose the player of the match this round, but I couldn’t go past Ava R from 6L, who was rock solid defensively. I reminded the girls once more that it is strong defence that will bring the title back to Roselea PS.

Well done, girls, and congratulations on your great start!

Stage 2 and 3 Netball

It has been a rainy past few weeks, however the weather has not dampened our enthusiasm for this season's PSSA competitions! Despite the rain, our Stage 2 and 3 netballers were able to squeeze in some training in our undercover areas. Finally, after much anticipation, students were very excited to receive their PSSA jerseys last week in preparation for our first game on Friday.

Zone Cross Country

After being rained out last week, we farewelled our cross country participants as they represented Roselea at the Zone cross country trials. A big congratulations to all who participated!   A special congratulations to Leo V from 3/4J who has made it through to the Sydney North Cross Country Championships.
