ACS Primary Rugby Union Trials & Gary McSweeney Cup

On Friday 30th May 2025, Hugo Sisson, Peter Grills and Darcie Campbell attended the Gary McSweeney Cup (Diocesan Rugby Union Trials) in Tamworth. All three of these students represented St Mary of the Angels, displaying great sportsmanship and team work. 

Peter Grills and Hugo Sisson made it through to Possible and Probable, with Hugo being selected in the Armidale Diocesan Rugby Union Team. Well done Hugo!

High Jump

On Friday 6th June, students who nominated to patriciate in the High Jump event for our School Athletics Carnival, competed in the event. Congratulations to the following place holders for each age group:

Jr Boys - 1st Jack Newberry; 2nd Sam Sauer & Tristan Nguyen; 3rd Billie Cox & Brock Adams

Jr Girls - 1st Arlie Rosser; 2nd Vancara Lockyer 

11yrs Boys - 1st Ned Newberry; 2nd Matthew Sauer; 3rd Miles Furphy

Sr Boys - 1st Jack Marshall; 2nd Peter Grills & Oskar Laing

Sr Girls - 1st Darcie Campbell; 2nd Charlie Bavea 

Well done to our Minor participants who also attempted the High Jump event - Orlando Hodgens, Evie Cox, Jacob Sauer and Ryan Reeves. 

New England Dance Eisteddfod

On Wednesday 28th May 2025, Mackenna Cleaver competed in her first dance eisteddfod. Mackenna danced in a jazz duo and they took home 2nd place with 86 points. 

Darcie Campbell competed for ADE on Thursday 29th May 2025. She danced in the Under 12 Contemporary Solo section. Congratulations girls on competing at such a high level.
