Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week is celebrated across Australia, in our Diocese we celebrated last week!

Catholic Schools Week is a time to celebrate the wonderful contributions that catholic schools make to our communities and recognise the values that make education in Catholic Schools unique.

Here are some of the events and oppotunities our school participated in during the week.

Our Stage 3 young people attended the Diocesan at the Catholic Schools Week Mass at O'Connor last  Wednesday.

Confirmation

It was a joyous occasion on the evening of Saturday 31st May, where eleven of our Angels completed their faith journey by undertaking the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Our new Diocesan leader, Bishop Peter Murphy, administered Confirmation, supported by Father O'Shea.

Our music was performed by flautist Theresa O'Reilly and organist Kath Russell, we cannot thank the two of them enough for the generous donation of time and flexibility.

Congratulations to our confirmands:

Bishop Murphy visits St Mary of the Angels

On Thursday 29th May, we welcomed Bishop Murphy to our school community.

His visit was filled with joy, curriosity and connection as he spent time in each of our classrooms with our young people and then shared a delightful meal, prepared by Mrs Phelps and Mrs Grills.

The Bishop shared the afternoon with our confirmation candidates, ensuring they were full prepared to undertake this next vital step in their faith journey.
