Focus for all students - uniform

It has been great to see so many students respond positively to our school-wide focus on mobile phones over the last two weeks. While this emphasis on securing mobile phones in lockers continues, the College will renew our focus on uniform this week.

We remind all students and families of the following:

  • Students must travel to and from school in full school uniform.
  • The new winter jacket is now available for purchase from the uniform shop, and provides an additional warm layer for students. It can be worn with all other uniform options (Sport, MSA and academic), and is a great option for before/after school training.
  • Students who wish to wear a thermal layer for warmth should ensure that it does not show under their shirt/sports top. For example, white thermals should be worn under white shirts, and short sleeve thermals worn under short sleeve tops.
  • Hoodies are never allowed. College staff may confiscate a hoodie for the day, with students able to collect it after 3:10pm.
  • MSA uniform is for student-athletes only. Sport/MSA uniform can only be worn between 9am and 3:10pm when a student has a practical Sport/PE/HPP class scheduled. Student-athletes will sometimes have to change for before/after school HPC sessions.
  • Only plain navy or black scarves can be worn. A plain navy beanie may be worn during recess and lunch breaks outside. 'Live for Lily' beanies may also be worn outdoors.
  • Students must wear traditional, black, school shoes with the academic uniform. Black leather sneakers are NOT permitted. Many students recommend Ascent Apex School Shoes (available in fits for boys and girls) - these school shoes are endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
