Friday 20th October: Mass and First Reconciliation for eligible candidates at 11.30 am

Friday 10th November: Mass at 11.30am

Friday 17th November: Mass at 11.30am

Friday 8th December: End of Year and Year 6 Graduation Mass at 11.30am

Reflection

Today is the feast of the apostle Matthew. He was working as a tax collector for the Romans when he met Jesus. The Jews did not like to give their money to pay the Roman tax, and so many people did not like Matthew. They were surprised that Jesus became his friend. Jesus made many friends among those who were rejected.

Prayer 

Lord God,

we thank you for sending apostles to the whole world.

We welcome those who bring your good news.

We pray for them and listen to their teaching.

Call on us, one day to become apostles, too.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

First Reconciliation and Confirmation

At the moment we have five students from St Patrick's who will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Friday 20th October after Mass. The preparation program has commenced as the students have already completed three sessions with Mr Hyatt.

Also, there will be five students who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday 5th November. Part of the preparation program has already been completed as this was part of the Religious Education Unit of Work that was covered by Mrs Davey and Mr Hyatt during the first half of this term.

The five students commenced the second part of the preparation program today and this will continue every week during the first half of the term until Thursday 2nd November.

Sacrament Dates for 2023

2023 First Reconciliation: Date has been set for our Catholic students in Years 2 and 3 for Friday 20th October 2023.

2023 Confirmation: Date has been set for our Catholic students in Years 5 and 6 for Sunday 5th November 2023.
