It is hard to believe that 43 years have passed since we walked through the halls of the Academy, full of hopes and dreams and our adult lives about to begin. Yet, here we find ourselves after all these years, gathered again as the close-knit class that we have always been.
It was as though we were in a time capsule, conversations were picked up effortlessly as if we had only been apart a few weeks instead of four decades. The hugs were warm and our laughter loud; we were giddy in reminiscing of a time before life grew complicated.
However, it was more than mere nostalgia, it was a testimony to friendship; long lasting friendships, rekindling of old ones and even ones that existed only behind those walls, they were the foundations of who we would become.
No matter where life took us, the thread that connects us never broke. We are girls of the Academy.
