The Year 9 Triple Threat class made their debut in spectacular style on Wednesday, 19 November, delivering a high energy performance of Newsies Jr to a full house in the Hall.
From the moment the first beat dropped, the cast filled the space with infectious enthusiasm, sharp choreography and the unmistakable unity that comes from months of dedication.

Every student brought their own flair to the stage, blending singing, dancing and acting with impressive confidence. Ensemble moments such as “The World Will Know” and “Carrying the Banner” showcased the strength of the group, with tight timing, bold character choices and voices that carried the story forward with conviction. The audience responded with cheers and applause throughout the night, swept up in the rhythm and heart of the production.

Backstage, students worked with professionalism beyond their years. They handled props, costumes and lightning-fast transitions with care, supporting one another and keeping the show running smoothly. This teamwork was a defining feature of the evening and reflected the spirit of the Triple Threat program.
It was an unforgettable debut and a proud moment for the Performing Arts Department. The class rose to the challenge, told the story with passion and proved just how powerful young performers can be when they create together. Their achievement sets an exciting tone for future Triple Threat productions and celebrations of student creativity at the Academy.
