Every Day Counts – Attendance Guide for Families

This week, all families received our updated Every Day Counts – Attendance Guide for Families via our Compass newsfeed. The guide provides practical information about why regular attendance matters, ways families can support attendance and punctuality, and how Mount Eliza Secondary College works with students and families when attendance concerns arise.

It has been great to see families checking their child's Compass attendance records and getting in touch with questions, particularly following our recent information about attendance being included on student progress and semester reports. This engagement is an important part of working together to support student attendance.

We encourage families to continue checking attendance regularly through Compass and to discuss attendance and punctuality with their child. If you notice an attendance record that appears incorrect, please encourage your child to follow this up with their classroom teacher or Year Level Coordinator so it can be reviewed.

Thank you to our families for engaging with this important conversation and for working with us to support students to attend regularly, arrive on time and make the most of every learning opportunity.
