Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA to Thriive WA

A New Chapter with the Same Heart

In early 2025, we officially changed our name from Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA to Thriive WA. While our name has changed, our mission remains the same: to create safe, supportive spaces where vulnerable WA children can just be kids — to laugh, to learn, to feel seen and heard, and to build confidence, resilience, and connection.

As an Edmund Rice founded organisation, it is so important to us not to lose the connection to the values and ethos that made us great! Thriive continues to count on Trinity College and other Edmund Rice schools to provide young adult volunteer mentors with a certain outlook and way of thinking. This is a community focused on care, inclusion and the power of connection.

To the parents and families of the students, thank you. Know that your child’s commitment to this program is helping WA kids thrive.

As we continue to grow, we hold dear a strong and positive relationship. With your ongoing support, more and more kids across WA will see the benefit of being a part of one community. A community based on love, kindness and support.

To help us continue this important work, we’re hosting a fun and light-hearted fundraiser; Thriive WA’s 2025 Quiz Night, hosted by Quiz Face Games and Mix 94.5’s Kymba Cahill. This will happen on Saturday, September 6 at Gibney Hall, Trinity College — with a big thank you to Trinity College for welcoming us to their venue.

The evening will be a relaxed retro-style throwback (with a few fun surprises), and all proceeds go directly to supporting Thriive camps and programs. It’s a great excuse to bring your friends together, test your trivia skills, and be a part of positive change in WA.

You can secure your table ($30 per head, tables of 8-10) by emailing Laura on marketing.events@thriive.org.au
