 VCE Summer Tutoring

“Prepare for the academic year and beyond with VCE Summer Tutoring! We deliver inclusive and valuable academic support to VCE students, no matter their background.

At our program from 11-22 January 2027, students can:

- Engage in academic classes and 1-1 tutoring from passionate tutors

- Join a community of like-minded students as they tackle fun activities

- Learn more about University study from supportive older peers

Bursaries and travel subsidies are available to students who would otherwise be unable to access the program.

• With around 23,000 students enrolling each year, WAI offer a broad range of training and education programs including accredited traineeships and apprenticeships, certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas, short courses, graduate certificates, bachelors, and master’s degrees.
• WAI has its main campus in Melbourne and is complemented by a campus in Sydney and offices in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.  It also has four joint-venture campuses in China, a partnership in Sri Lanka and two partnerships and a representative office in Vietnam. - About WAI. 
• WAI is one of Australia’s largest specialist centres for foods, tourism, hospitality, and events training.
• Courses are categorised into various groups:

• WAI also offers Apprenticeships and Traineeships, as well as numerous short courses.
• WAI offers a 6-month Certificate III in Aviation (Cabin Crew) designed to enhance students’ opportunities to fulfil their plans to work with an airline as a cabin crew member.  The focus of this course is about customer service, and not really about emergency procedures.  Topics of study - beverage service, flight retailing, meeting customers, etc. managing disruptive customers, etc.
• Numerous scholarships are on offer to students each year. 
• The  Angliss International Hotel School offers students a study pathway to take service delivery to a new and luxurious level.  With exposure to masterclasses covering the finer and more specialised areas of hotel service, students will be equipped for a career offering exceptional service in the international hotel industry.

Tips for Writing Your Cover Letter

Your cover letter is an opportunity for you to highlight areas that would make you a great fit for the job. It should be no more that a page in length, explain how your ability to do the job aligns wit the company goal. It will show you have researched the company and make you stand out from other applicants.

Checklist – 

1. Personal Details – Name, address, phone number, and email address. 
2. Salutation – Date and name of contact person
3. Introduction – Who you are, why you are wirting and what you know about the company 
4. Body paragrahs – do not just repeat information on resume
   1. How your expereince, interests and qualifications relate to the job requirements
   2. Your accomplishments
   3. Your career goals and motivations
5. Closing statement- Restates your suitability, refers to your resume, thanks the addressee for this time and consideration, and notes interest in an interview.
