RAP Update

The RAP Team have been working super hard lately, continuing to build our school’s commitment to reconciliation. Students have been developing and refining our Acknowledgements of Country and researching inspiring First Nations Australians who have made significant contributions to our community and the wider world.

As part of this learning, students have been creating posters to celebrate these incredible individuals, sharing their stories, achievements and important messages. These posters will soon be proudly displayed on our RAP Board as you walk into the school past Mrs Despotellis’ office, so make sure you take a moment to stop and have a look!

Throughout this process, our younger RAP students have been working alongside their older peers, sharing ideas, asking questions and learning from one another. It has been wonderful to see our students collaborate, support each other and build their understanding of First Nations histories, cultures and perspectives.

At the end of Term 2, RAP members also had the exciting job of judging our RAP colouring-in competition. A huge congratulations to our winners for their creativity, effort and thoughtful designs. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped celebrate reconciliation through art!
