School Review
Thanks to the parents that indicated availability to attend the Parent Focus Group as part of the School Review.
This has been postponed until Thursday 30 July, at 8.30-9.00am.
Parents are still welcome to join this focus group - we encourage your contribution.
School staff will be available to supervise your children if you can come in early. Please refer to the email issued to the school community and the link to indicate your attendance.
Renewed Contract - TeamKids
We are delighted to announce that School Council has renewed the licence for TeamKids to provide Out of School Care for a further 3 years, through to the end of 2029.
TeamKids provide an excellent service to the families of Jells Park PS and fit in to our 'community first' mentality. Great to have you on board again TeamKids.
Ongoing Upgrades
Following on from the recent internal building works and the creation of a new playground in the junior area, we will be having further work done on lighting, the PA system and the internal phone system. Most of this work won't be noticed but is vital for having effective classrooms and infrastructure.
In the coming holidays we will also start with our painting plan, starting with the external poles and handrails, many of which are looking weary.
And in the 'big picture' plan, we are investigating the replacement of the old portables infrastructure of the ELC, aiming for a new build to replace. This may take many years to come to fruition but we need to start somewhere.

NCCD - reminder
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) is an annual process that helps schools identify the educational adjustments being provided to support students with disability. Through the NCCD process, JPPS collaborates with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure that every student can access and participate in the teaching and learning programs. The information collected assists schools, education authorities, and governments to better understand student needs and to plan resourcing and support. Importantly, all data is de-identified and handled confidentially. If you would like more information about the NCCD please refer to this link whiohc is available in a variety of language Fact sheet for parents, guardians and carers - Nationally Consistent Collection of Data
Competitions!
At JPPS we have some wonderfully creative students, and there are currently two fantastic design competitions that I encourage families to explore. Students aged 5 to 17 can enter the Youth myki Card Design Competition, with the winning artwork featured on a future youth myki card and prizes of up to $1,000 available. Entries close on Sunday 2 August 2026. Our Prep students also have the opportunity to enter the Prep Bags 2027 Design Competition, where students are invited to create a design based on the theme“My Year of Prep”. The winning design will be featured on the front of the 2027 Prep bags distributed to thousands of Victorian Prep students next year. Entries close on Sunday 9 August 2026. I encourage students who enjoy drawing, painting or digital design to get involved and showcase their creativity. Further information and entry details can be found at engage.vic.gov.au/youthmyki and engage.vic.gov.au/prep-bags-2027.
Have a wonderful weekend!
