From the results of the Mount Carmel Swimming Carnival, a team has been selected to represent Mount Carmel at the Junior Southern Sports Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools (JSSATIS), which was held today, and the Southern Tasmania Catholic Primary School Sports Association (STCPSSA) Primary Swimming Carnival being held next Friday.  Congratulations and good luck to the following students:

SSATIS Athletics Carnival

It was a terrific team effort from Mount Carmel at the SSATIS Athletics Carnival last Tuesday. The team won 3rd place in the Girls Junior Shield of 14 schools. This is a great effort for the team and it shows that hard work and determination pays off. There were exceptional individual performances, and competitors digging deep to achieve their very best.  Congratulations to all team members and their wonderful coaches. 

The team now turns its attention to the SATIS (State) Carnival on Tuesday 31 March in Launceston. Results in the top 5 include:

Sail our Way Discover Sailing Days @ Sandy Bay Sailing Club

Girls aged between 10-18 are invited to ‘Introduction to Sailing’ sessions at the Sandy Bay Sailing Club. The sessions are being delivered as part of the Australian Government’s Sail our Way program.

Date: Sunday 22 and 29 March

Time: 10.00 am – 1.00 pm with a BBQ after the last session

Cost: $30 for both sessions

No sailing experience needed.
