TERM 2 - UNIFORM INFORMATION
Commencing in Term 2, all students in Kindergarten to Year 6:

Tuesday - Summer Uniform

Friday - Sports Uniform
CONTACTING THE STAFF
Just a friendly reminder that parents are not to contact school staff on their personal phone numbers or social media regarding school matters.
If you need to speak with your child’s teacher or any staff member, please contact the school office by phone or email to arrange a meeting time or leave a message.

A friendly reminder that the school office is open between 8:30am to 3:30pm to assist parents/carers with any enquiries.

REMINDER:
If anyone other than a parent is picking up your child after assembly, the school office must be notified.
ANZAC DAY MARCH
Each year the students and staff at St Francis Xavier’s take great pride in marching in the Anzac Day parade.
What do the children wear?
The children wear their full SUMMER uniform including hat and black school shoes.
The March is to commence at 10.30am so could students please assemble at Anzac Avenue
(TAFE car park) at 10:10am SHARP!
NOTIFICATION OF ABSENCES
Parents must endeavour to provide an explanation for a student's absence within seven calendar days of the absence. If this occurs in conjunction with a term break they should provide an explanation before the end of term.
This may be done by:
🔵entering an absence via the Compass Portal
🔵e-mailing the school office - naradmin@arm.catholic.edu.au
🔵telephoning the school office - 6792 1796
🔵a written note to your child's class teacher
🟩To assist with all absences being explained, every Friday the school sends an Unapproved Absence Letter via email to all families with unexplained absences. Families are to provide a reason within 7 days either by entering the absence via the Compass Portal or contacting the school office.
Below is a table with approved absence reasons with examples:
Reason for Absence | Can include | Extra Information |
| Medical - Illness/Injury | sickness, medical condition or injury | A brief explanation of the illness/injury is required. A Medical Certificate may be requested. |
| Medical Appointment | medical or paramedical appointment - includes: medical, dental, psychological | The type of appointment is to be specified. Medical Certificates may be requested. |
| Other Explained Absence | *misadventure or unforeseen events *participation in special events not related to school *domestic necessity such as a serious illness of an immediate family member *attendance at funerals *travel in Australia and overseas (not to exceed 10 days) *recognised religious festivals and ceremonial occasions *being late to school | A brief description/explanation is to be given.
If late to school, then a reason is to be given eg: road works, new uniform needed |

LABEL ITEMS
Please ensure your child/s school clothing, school bag, lunchbox and pencil case items are clearly labelled with their. Please see below our lost property procedure:

* ITEMS NOT LABELLED OR EX STUDENT NAME - Placed in lost property
SCHOOL FEES
School Fee Statements for theFULLyear fees have been emailed to families.
School fees may be paid either in full or by instalment. A recurring BPAY payment is the recommended option for instalments.
Payment options include:
🟢 BPAY - preferred option
🟢 EFTPOS - available at the school front office or over the phone
🟢 Compass Pay
🟢 Cash or Cheque
🟢 ADIG direct debit - please contact Ms Hogan if you would like further information about this option.
Please remember, if you are experiencing difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact the school office to arrange a payment plan.
School fees are required to cover our running costs so it is important that your account is paid on time. Thank you for your co-operation.
