Professional Development
Stage 2 teachers undertook specialised SpellEx training through MultiLit last week. This professional development equips them with evidence-based strategies for teaching explicit spelling instruction. By mastering these research-backed techniques, the teachers ensure that every student builds foundational skills for lifelong writing success!
St Patrick's Day
We celebrated St Patrick’s Day last Tuesday with students coming to school dressed in green!
Students also brought along a gold coin donation to support Project Compassion, the annual Lenten fundraising campaign run by Caritas Australia. Our Living Well, Learning Well representatives held a stall at recess offering a range of green-themed treats for students to purchase. All proceeds raised from the stall will also be donated to Project Compassion.
Project Compassion raises funds to support vulnerable communities around the world by providing access to clean water, education, food security and sustainable livelihoods. Thank you to our school community for supporting this important cause and helping make a difference for those in need.
Thank you to our school community, whose support raised almost $1,000 for this important cause.
Chess Club
All students are invited to attend Chess Club with Mr Falkiner at lunchtime. Each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during second half lunch, students meet in the demountable to play. There is something for everyone with helpers available to assist beginners as well as fun competitive matches for the more experienced players.
