Bigger Buddy System

Our students enjoyed some friendly competition over a few games of UNO during last week's Bigger Buddy session, while other groups heard from older students about their experiences of navigating change.

Our Year 9 students, who will become Bigger Buddies for our incoming Year 7s in 2027, also created welcome cards offering tips and advice on how to feel a sense of belonging within our college community.

Their advice included some wonderful words of encouragement:

• "Get to know more people and put yourself out there."
• "Don't let fear dictate your experience, just get involved."
• "Be yourself."

Led by our student leaders, the Bigger Buddy System brings students from different year levels together through GOAL sessions to build connections, share experiences and strengthen their sense of belonging within our college community.

These sessions provide valuable opportunities for students to get to know one another in a relaxed and supportive environment, bringing our motto, Belong, Believe, Become, to life.
