Japanese

Konnichiwa, Monty Community!
Foundation students have been learning colours in Japanese by singing the Rainbow Song while using a rainbow puzzle and experimenting with mixing paint colours. For example, students predicted what colour yellow and red would make when mixed together.
They have amazed me with how much new vocabulary they can remember using mnemonic gestures. Well done, Foundies
Just a friendly reminder that Japanese Day is coming soon on Friday, 12th June!
We will begin the day with a special Japanese Assembly featuring a presentation by 4O, student speeches, and a mini Taiko (Japanese drum) concert, followed by fun Japanese activities throughout the day.
Please check Compass to provide consent and payment for Japanese Day as well.
Students are encouraged to wear something Japanese-themed, such as Pikachu, My Melody, Super Mario, or a Sushi T-shirt. Students are also welcome to simply wear red and white to represent the Japanese flag.
Looking forward to celebrating together!!
Arigato — Thank you!
