YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
On Thursday the 19th of March, the School Captains, House Captains, Intermediate and Junior School Captains attended the Youth Leadership Academy Australia Conference in Melbourne. We started our day by arriving at the train station at 7:00am to travel into the Melbourne Convention Centre. Once we had arrived, we settled into our seats and the day quickly got underway.
Throughout the conference, we were challenged and inspired to think more deeply about what it means to be a leader and how we can create meaningful impact within our school and wider community. A key focus of the day was on making positive change, finding common ground with others, and approaching situations with a mindset that looks for opportunities and growth.
We listened to a range of engaging speakers who shared powerful messages about leadership, initiative and making a difference. Overall, it was an incredibly inspirational day that left everyone feeling motivated and excited to put their leadership ideas into action.
CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY
Thanks to our amazing School Captains and House Captains who organised our Clean- Up Australia Day event on Tuesday 17th March. In their House groups, Year 12 students led Year 7 Form Groups around the yard promoting civic participation & environmental responsibility. It was a great success; well done Captains!!
STUDENT LEADERSHIP DAY
On Monday 23 March, our Student Leaders will take part in a Student Leadership Day during Periods 1–4. The morning will begin in the PAC with a leadership workshop led by our School Captains, before students head to the Oval for a fun and energetic Mini Olympics facilitated by Corporate Challenge Events.
We are also excited to welcome around 75 primary school students from neighbouring schools, who will join our leaders for the activities. The day is designed to build leadership skills, teamwork, and connections within our wider school community.
