Year 12 Camp

On Wednesday 31st of January, our Year 12 students returned to school to commence their last year of secondary education. We had 163 students arrive excitedly for Year 12 Camp at Lord Somers. Our Year 12’s participated in a variety of activities which were run by the energetic Lord Somers staff members. Activities included pizza making, beach walks, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, initiative games and beach games. Thursday night saw the students compete in trivia night which also included amazing lip sync battles performed by both staff and students.

It was fantastic to see the Year 12’s give their best in all of the activities and enjoy positive emotions with their Year 12 cohort. We received positive feedback from the Lord Somers camp staff about the cohort’s behaviour and enthusiasm which reflected the feelings from the EMC staff.

We hope this positive momentum continues as students begin their formal classes, we wish them all of the best for 2024 and look forward to supporting them to achieve their goals.
