Boorowa Public Preschool is open!
We are excited to announce that Boorowa Public Preschool is now open!
It has been wonderful to welcome our youngest learners and new families, along with our new preschool teachers and educators, into our school community.
Our preschool operates the same days and hours as our school and provides a high-quality play-based learning program for children in the year before Kindergarten. We have capacity for up to 40 children each day across the 2 preschool rooms.
We are accepting enrolments at the preschool for 2026 and 2027.
We look forward to sharing regular updates about our preschool, as well as welcoming both the children and staff at upcoming school community events.

Welcome to our Preschool’s First Week!
What an exciting start we’ve had! This week, our wonderful preschool team welcomed a small group of eager children ready to explore and learn.
Some favourite moments so far have been the children’s deep engagement with the home corner and their love of all kinds of water play in our outdoor space. They have quickly begun to feel at home by seeing their photos on their bag spot labels in the morning. Another special touch has been their self-portraits, which they drew themselves and attached to wooden blocks. These will be used to show they are ‘present’ each day. These beautiful blocks were kindly handcrafted and donated by the Boorowa’s Men’s Den, who also gave us a larger collection of blocks for play. A huge thank you to these generous community members!
The children looked fantastic in their Preschool shirts on day one! These shirts were created with the help of local Wiradjuri artist Erin Lambshead. Erin has worked closely with us this year to design wonderful artworks that reflect our local culture and feature the three animals that inspired the names of our preschool spaces: the Bush Turkey (Buragi), the Superb Parrot (Dhungay), and the Platypus (Biladurang). Very soon, you’ll see Erin’s beautiful artworks brightening up our preschool environment—so keep an eye out!
Our preschool teachers and educators are thrilled to bring all our planning and preparation to life. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for the Boorowa community and look forward to sharing this special journey with many families into the future.
