Principal's News

Dear Famlies of Trinity Primary School,

What a great night was had by all who were able to attend our Trivia night last Saturday. Thanks to the parents and staff who all made such a big effort to dress up in their Retro Gear to add to the colour and fun. A huge thankyou to our P&F Comittee in planning, preparing and ensuring the evening was a huge success. Whilst the competition between teams kept everyone on their toes the fun and laughter was what really made the event a special one for the community. Many great donations were sourced by our hard working comittee members and these were either added to the Silent Auction or raffled off on the night. Over $3000 was raised and this money will go towards both sports and IT equipment for our children. We are already looking forward to and planning more great P&F activities as these are both vital for our fundraising efforts and, just as importantly, in further building the connections we have with each in other in our school community.

Year 5/6 Mass

This Sunday our Year 5/6s have their class mass at St James Church here at Trinity. We would really love to see as many families as possible join us for this. We of course welcome all our families regardless of faith background to share in this special mass. As you may also be aware many of our Year 6 students will receive the sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday 28th October in a special celebration at St Patrick's Cathedral.

Normally this celebration would be held at St Ignatius Church, however, this year we were very fortunate to be invited to hold the celebration at the Cathedral, with the Mass being celebrated by Archbishop Comensoli.

Hats Off to Teachers on World Teachers' Day - Friday 31 October

On Friday 31st October all across Australia we celebrate all the amazing teachers who inspire, support, and empower children and young people every single day.

All of us have our own memories of our school days and I hope that each of us can recall that one special teacher who made a difference in our lives.

Each day our teachers and LSO's work with your children to help them develop their academic skills and equally to ensure their social and emotional needs are taken care of. I have great pride in the team we have here at Trinity who I know have the children in their care at ther centre of all they do each day. We do not always see the enormous amount of work our teaching staff has to do, both at school and at home, and so I hope you can keep each of them in mind on World Teacher's Day next Friday.

Twighlight Sports

From 2pm today our children took part in the Twilight Sports organized by our Sports Teacher Mrs McLeary. These events are a real highlight for many of our children and an opportunity for them to compete against their peers and represent their House Teams. The main purpose as always, to have fun in both cooperative and individual activities and it was great to also see so many parents join us to watch the activities.

Prep 2026 Transition Day 1

This morning we held the first of our Prep 2026 Transition Mornings. These sessions are an important step in providing a smooth and positive transition into primary school. Not just for the children but for their parents as well. A special thankyou to Ms Kate for all the hard work she does in planning and preparing these sessions and of course to our prep teachers and other staff who all work together to ensure the activities and experiences are both enjoyable and beneficial. As I have communicated previously, our enrolments this year and last have continued to grow and we have actually reached the stage of having to create a waiting list as we have had more enquiries than we are able to accomodate at this stage. Much work was also done by many previous parents who worked closely with me a number of years ago to look at our marketing and school promotion strategies. I thank them also for their enthusiasm and hard work which I believe has all contributed to our growing reputation in the community and the demand we are now seeing.
