ACYF 2025
Our students and staff attended a preparation session for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival recently. We wish them well as they attend the festival this weekend and that they are filled with spiritual joy.
Receiving the Sacraments
Celebrating the sacraments is one of the most common and visible expressions of Catholic life. By receiving the sacraments, Catholics build up their relationship with God. Sacraments often mark the major events in a Catholic’s life. From birth to death, and at significant moments in between, sacraments are signs of the presence of God, moments when God changes us and helps us to grow.
A number of our students at Nazareth have been baptised into the Catholic Church but have not as yet received Reconciliation, Holy Communion or Confirmation.
The College offered a program for students who have not been Baptised, or made their First Communion, Reconciliation and /or Confirmation. The program took place during College hours in Term 3. The ceremonies took place last weekend at St Paul the Apostle Parish, Endeavour Hills and St Benedict’s Parish, Burwood where nine students received sacraments. Pictured here are Nicholas Kruschina, Jagger Nguyen, Phoenix Nguyen, Carla Albino and Romeo Muscat at St Benedict’s with Fr Cam Smith (an ex-Nazareth student).
