Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

End of Term

A reminder that classes conclude for 2025 on Friday 5 December at the earlier time of 1.30pm. The bus companies have been advised of this earlier finish.  There will be our Mass of Thanksgiving for the whole school community on Friday 5 December 2025 at 12.15 pm in the Wheeler Auditorium. All families are most welcome to attend and join with us in offering thanks to God for all of the great blessings of 2025. There will also be Awards Assemblies which, again, Parents/Guardians/Carers  are most welcome to attend.

The Years 7, 8 & 9 Awards Assembly will be held on Friday, 5 December 2025 at 9.00 am and the Years 10 & 11 Awards Assembly at 10.30 am at the College in the Wheeler Auditorium.  These assemblies provide us with an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate with all our community some great efforts and achievements throughout the year both within and outside of the classroom. All Parents/Carers/Guardians are warmly invited to join us for these great celebrations.

Dropping off Students at School

We have had a number of incidents in the mornings with parents/guardians/carers entering the school grounds at an unacceptable speed. We have also noticed students getting out of cars before parking in the drop off zone. We would like to remind parents/guardians/carers to slow down and be patient. All our students are important and we don't want anyone injured. We would also appreciate respect shown towards our staff on duty. Thank you to everyone who abides by these practices.

Time to Reflect

The end of the school year is also a time for students to reflect on their year and the goals they had set and whether or not they have been achieved. With the commencement of FastStart for our Year 10 & 11 students there is also time to be working hard to set things up for 2026. We encourage all students to continue to work hard for the last days of school. We congratulate students who have grown and developed throughout the year and set goals and achieved them. As a community we aim to help all people to grow in faith, wisdom and knowledge. It does not matter where your starting point is. Our main concern is that everyone does grow. We give thanks to all the students for their efforts to grow in 2025 and the staff who put so much time, effort, energy, love and care into working for the growth of each member of our community.

Christmas

As the Church begins the new year with the season of Advent we prepare our hearts to be able to welcome Our Lord. May this season of Advent help you and your family to grow in being more aware of and attune to the presence of Our Lord who came historically over 2000 years ago, but continues to come in our lives and hearts each day.  May the Holy Spirit help us to recognise and welcome His presence throughout our day, each day.

We pray and hope the holiday is a great one for all families and that the birth of the Christ Child fills your heart and family with His peace, love and joy.
