Students may be dropped at school from 8:20am onwards. Prior to this time there is no staff supervision. If parents/guardians need to drop students off prior to this time for a short period or because of an unusual circumstance, the College should be contacted to make suitable arrangements.
The College has before and after school care arrangements for students up to and including 12 years of age, available through the Southern Christian College Outside School Hours Care program. This is operated through Kingston Early Learning Centre.
Students are not to attend school if they are unwell. Please follow any required exclusion periods for specific illnesses (e.g. Gastroenteritis - students may return after 48 hours from the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea).
In the event your child presents as unwell during the school day, your child will be cared for and observed at school in the first aid room or another appropriate location by a qualified first aid officer, while they await collection from their parent/guardian/carer. Prompt collection is appreciated.
Students may return to school when they are well.
Please remind your children of the importance of hand washing well and often.

The Southern Christian College Twilight Makers' Market is only 12 weeks away and we would love your help! If you would like to be involved in the Makers' Market on Friday 18 October please get in touch with Martin Prins martin.prins@scc.tas.edu.au
Register your help on a particular stall/area here: Makers Market sign up sheet
Ways to get involved at this stage are:
The vision and mission of the Market is to celebrate the God given ability to create and be makers by showcasing the brilliant work our students do as well as fund raise for the school and build a stronger sense of school community. Money raised will go towards equipment for creative learning experiences for students across the whole school. From previous Makers' Markets we have been able to buy a laser cutter/engraver that has been used in secondary classes and will be moved into the new Digi Tech space for all students to utilise.
Family photos which were order prior to the student Photo Day, may now be collected from the College office.
See separate page for all the details!
