Student Leadership at Endeavour College

Senior students play a pivotal role in shaping the culture of our school community. 

Their maturity, visibility, and leadership responsibilities position them as key contributors to the tone, identity, and sense of belonging across the College.

At Endeavour, our Year 12 students model the values we seek to uphold. When they embody the Endeavour Way - Love, Courage, Forgiveness, and Hope - they set clear and powerful expectations for younger students. Their involvement in assemblies, cocurricular programs, and everyday interactions strengthens our shared purpose and enriches the learning environment.

Recognising and Growing Leadership

This is why our partnership with yLead during the Year 12 Orientation Day is so important. The program helps students recognise their leadership potential and the positive influence they can have on school culture. We are proud of the way our Year 12 cohort has embraced this responsibility over the past four weeks.

Building Community and Connection

Research continues to highlight the significant impact of authentic student leadership on connection, wellbeing, and engagement. Through participation in clubs, mentoring, Student Action Teams, and the evolving Village Councils, our senior students help cultivate cross-year relationships and strengthen the sense of belonging within the school.

It has been especially pleasing to see these groups taking shape for 2026, with Village Councils emerging as a vibrant expression of our developing village model.

Leadership, Behaviour, and Shared Responsibility

When students are involved in shaping expectations and culture, they are more invested in upholding the values they help define. This deepens positive peer support and collective responsibility. Research consistently affirms that meaningful leadership opportunities build trust, connection, and honesty within school communities. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of our expanded student leadership initiatives throughout the year.
