Around the College

Year 7 Camp
Our Year 7 Camp was an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, challenge, reflection and connection. As the newest members of our College community, camp provided students with the opportunity to strengthen friendships, build resilience and truly live out the values of the Endeavour Way: Love, Courage, Forgiveness and Hope.
From the moment students arrived, there was a sense of excitement and anticipation. Over the course of camp, students stepped outside their comfort zones and embraced new challenges. Whether navigating team-building activities, participating in outdoor adventures, or working together to solve problems, they demonstrated remarkable Courage. Many students surprised themselves with what they were capable of achieving — and cheered others on as they did the same.
A highlight of camp was our ribbon reflection activity. Students acknowledged one another when they had demonstrated the Endeavour Way values, tying ribbons around each other’s wrists as a visible reminder of the character they had shown. By the end of the evening, wrists were covered in colour — a powerful symbol of the culture we are building together.
Thank you to our dedicated staff who supported and encouraged students throughout the experience, and to families for entrusting us with this important milestone.

Verbal Combat
Last week, all Year 7 and 8 students attended a performance called Verbal Combat by touring New South Wales theatre company Brainstorm Productions.
We invite Brainstorm Productions back to Endeavour every year because their performances never fail to entertain and educate, as well as expose our younger students to the world of quality live theatre.
This year’s show, Verbal Compact tackled the challenges that come with how young people navigate their digital lives in a non-threatening and non-‘preachy’ way. It brought issues such as cyberbullying, mental health and friendships to life through dynamic, believable characters and a relevant storyline.
Our students were provoked into thinking about how they might tackle the demands of school, friendships, family and social media in a way that empowers them to make the right choices rather than diminish them.

Introducing Sae Wakabayashi
Hello everyone.
I’m Sae Wakabayashi but please call me Sae.
I’m 17 years old second grade student at Sundai Kofu. I’m from Kofu in Japan. It’s a nice place, near Tokyo. I’m in the dance club there.
I have wanted to study abroad for a long time. So, I’m very happy to be here.
The main reason I came to Australia is so I can improve my English skills and to experience a lot of Australian culture. I am studying English, Math, Japanese, AIF and Chemistry at the College and I especially like Math.
In my free time, I really like watching baseball games. I also like Pokémon and have been playing Pokémon GO a lot recently.
After this program, I will study English more to become an English teacher one day.
I’m looking forward to spending a wonderful time with you all.
Thank you.
