A Super Successful School Sports Carnival!

This year's School Sports Carnival was once again a huge success. The students were given the opportunity to compete in a wide varierty of track and field events, making the most of the fantastic facilities at Bill Sewart Athletics track.

The day was made all the more special with the addition of the now traditional sausage sizzle lunch, thanks to our parent volunteers who worked tirelessly preparing the hundreds of sausages.

A big thank you also to the senior Sports and Recreation students from Xavier, who came along on the day to help run the various events, led by our former staff member, Ms Katherine Aldcroft.

This event is one of the most logistically challenging and complex days on the school calendar and we can not praise enough the wonderful running of the day as planned for and coordinated by Ms French.

All the students are to be congratulated once again on the way they competed and supported each other throughout the day.

Ultimately O'Connor (Red) House were victorious and our winners of the marquee event, the senior Mustey Mile were Sebastian and Michaela.

A simply awesome day celebrating fun, being active and the St Cecilia's community spirit.

Year 5/6 Interschool Sport

This term saw all our Year 5/6 student compete against the neighbouring schools in a weekly interschool sport competition. Students competed in Softball, Soccer and Netball.

All the staff and parent helpers were consistently impressed with the outstanding sportspersonship and respects shown by our students to teammates, opponents and officials.

A huge thank you to Hollie French and Teresa Galgani for all their organisation behind the scenes to to make this fabulous opportunity possible for our students.

I would also like to thank the Year 5/6 staff and our Mr Chris Knott for coaching, umpiring and supervising each week.
