Hands on Learning

On the 29th of May in Hands on Learning we made birdhouses, cooked bacon and eggs for lunch, varnished the gym bench and we fixed the wheelbarrow wheels.

This is some feedback from HoL students for this semester. 

I have had a really great time being a part of hands on learning. Hands on learning has given me a bunch of skills to help me with my career of being a carpenter. Thank you for giving me this opportunity Russel, Monica and Mr. Page.

Roy

I have had a very great time while being here and every time I have come through the days it has brought joy to my face. My favourite thing was the many creative jobs we have had and going out to Watergardens. Thank you for the opportunity Russell, Monica and Mr. Paige.

I had a good time at hands on learning. It was fun being here. The experiences over this term have brought me to enjoy school.

HoL was a good experience and I learnt new skills, did some new jobs around the school and did some great projects. Thanks Monica and Russell.

I really enjoyed my time in HoL. It was really good, I got work experience and the staff were really nice. It was really fun being in their hands on learning class and for sure won’t forget it.

I really love hands-on learning since it taught me many skills that I could never learn in a boring classroom. Above all the most valuable things I learnt by far was teamwork. Huge thanks to Monica and Russell. And of course, Mr. Paige it wouldn’t be possible without you.

The time I put into these projects were worth it. I had an awesome time and made some pretty cool friends. I enjoyed learning new things while being with my new friends as well.

Motivated me to go to school and I do wish I could do it for longer as the crew is always working together and helping each other out.

Hands on learning gave me experience and I have learnt a lot about being a tradie, I am very grateful to have had this time to spend with the group and to have met Monica and Russell. thank you for teaching me everything.

The time I’ve spent and effort I’ve put in hands on learning is great for me and I loved it from the bottom of my heart. It was fun while it lasted it got me so far in my life.
