Year 9 Students Shine with “Making The Invisible Visible” Project

On 20th June, our Year 9 students — Saoirse, Dylan, Samara and Terence — proudly presented their Community Learning Project to Ms Voigt after eight enriching weeks at the School for Student Leadership, Alpine School Dinner Plain Campus. The project, titled “Making The Invisible Visible”, focuses on raising awareness about invisible disabilities and supporting those affected.

Throughout the term, these students have worked together to design and develop the project — planning a fundraiser, exploring ideas for a guest speaker, and considering hands‑on ways to make a difference. In doing so, they have built vital skills in leadership, teamwork, resilience, and empathy, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by people living with invisible disabilities.

These experiences have shaped them as both students and leaders, building their confidence and ability to take initiative, solve problems, and work collaboratively towards a shared goal. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to seeing their ideas implemented back at school in Term 3!
