General Information

Welcome to Peggy!

Hi I’m Peggy, a Social Work student at The University of South Australia. I have recently relocated to Australia from Taiwan. Throughout terms 3 and 4, I will be participating in practicum activities at this wonderful school. Mandarin is my native language, and I am currently teaching myself Japanese. I am enthusiastic about making meaningful contributions to the school and expanding my knowledge. Thank you.

Ambulance visit

During a health lesson in week 2 with Mr. Brodie, students were lucky enough to have a private tour of an ambulance. Students learnt what the sirens mean and what to do if they hear them. They also learnt what number to call when they need help (000). The students were amazed at how much equipment could fit into an ambulance!

Why is it so important to eat well?

A healthy diet is essential for good health and nutrition.

We can get more out of life, feel better and live longer by eating healthy food.

Eating well:

  • Improves our energy levels, blood pressure and cholesterol
  • Reduces the risk of developing diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers and osteoporosis
  • Ensures bone strength, good oral health and protection from infections
