Intensive English Language Program

This term the students in Y3 are learning to write a persuasive text and continuing to develop their reading skills through the use of decodable texts, paired reading, echo reading and choral reading. The students collaboratively made a 'Y chart' following a class discussion to show their thoughts and feelings and present a point of view on "Should children be able to stay up later on the weekends".

 

As part of a class project, the students decided to create library rules in different languages. It was a fun and educational experience for everyone. When students wrote the rules in other languages, it was interesting to see the similarities and differences in how each language conveyed the same message. These rules will make our library a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
