Deputy Principal's Message

Wishing all students and families a relaxing and safe holiday break. We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Tuesday 14 October, ready for our last term of the 2025 school year.
SRC Fundraiser - this Friday Week 10
The SRC is holding a fundraiser to raise money for World Wildlife Fund Australia, to help save some of Australia's endangered species. The idea was tabled by S3P and unanimously agreed upon by all SRC members.
SRC members will be sharing information about a range of Australian endangered species over the week with their class. They will raise awareness of how funds raised will go towards supporting some of Australia's unique and threatened animals, such as the Koala, Platypus and the Greater Glider.
The fundraiser will be in the form of a mufti day this Friday 26 September. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation and 'wear it wild' by dressing as their favourite animal or in mufti.
Appropriate footwear must be worn, along with a broad brimmed school hat. The SRC will also be selling fruit juice icy poles for $1. Thank you for your support of this student-led initiative.
New Syllabus Staff Professional Learning
In Week 7, staff representing all stages across the school participated in a targeted, high impact professional learning session around the new Science & Technology, Human Society & Its Environment (HSIE), PDHPE, and Creative Arts syllabuses. The day enabled teachers to become familiar with the outcomes and content of the new syllabuses and provided a framework for further unpacking with their stage teams.
We are currently in the familiarisation phase of the new syllabuses. They will be mandatory across all NSW schools from 2027.
