Principal's Awards - Blake C

Despite being new to school herself, Blake has shown beautiful care and support of others by being a good friend when her classmates feel lost or left out. It was noted by teachers on duty when another Foundation student couldn't find her friend, Blake confidently told her, "you're really good at looking for things.  I'll help you look for her, I know you can find her." Blake's compassion and care was lovely to see.

Mason, you have shown the Mercy values of compassion and respect.  You bumped into your pen pal Lellie at a local bookstore recently. Lellie was promoting her new book Bella grows a bicycle, all about swapping/trading items to get what you want. You wanted one of her books, so you drew a picture and traded it (the way she describes her book).   Even though you got the book for no money, you paid another to donate to the school!  This was very generous and showed compassion.   You show enormous respect to your teachers often offering to help out and do jobs.  We are so proud of your efforts to be your best at school and out of school.  We were very proud of the work that you did in the Christmas holidays to support our fire fighters!

Thanks, Mason, for showing the Mercy values and being a great example to others.  Congratulations on being this week’s principal award winner!

Evie you have shown the values of compassion and hospitality. You have been working really well in class and the last couple of mornings you have been really patient with another student, encouraging him to do the right thing and working with him to help him be settled.  You actually went out of your way to come and get him from the couch and bring him to the floor for the roll.

Yesterday you knew that a student was feeling a bit unsure about his soccer skills for the tournament. You were very encouraging towards him, reminding him that he just needs to trust in himself and his best is good enough. You then went on to say that his team is really lucky to have him. Thank you for being so compassionate toward others Evie.

Congratulations on being this week’s principal award winner
