Principal's Message

Dear Holy Family Community,
Musica Viva – Two Wheel Time Machine
Last Tuesday, our students were treated to a wonderful musical experience with the Musica Viva performance, Two Wheel Time Machine.
Over recent weeks, students have been learning to read and play music using a variety of tuned percussion instruments, and the performance brought this learning to life. The musicians captivated our students with their skill, creativity and enthusiasm, encouraging children to listen carefully, participate actively and deepen their appreciation of music.
We extend our sincere thanks to our P&F for generously funding this opportunity for our students. Their ongoing support enables us to provide rich learning experiences that enhance classroom programs and create lasting memories for our children.
The performance was thoroughly enjoyed by all and was a fantastic celebration of music, learning and creativity. Thank you, P&F, for making this special experience possible for the students.
Graduate Program Evening – Completing Year 6 at Holy Family
Thank you to the many parents of our younger grade students who attended our Graduate Program Evening. We appreciate your openness to learning more about the journey through Years 5 and 6 and the opportunities available to students who remain at Holy Family until graduation.
We particularly thank families for their commitment to seeing their child complete their primary education at Holy Family. This decision allows students to fully benefit from the leadership, learning and personal growth opportunities that are uniquely available to our senior students. Choosing to remain at Holy Family until Year 6 Graduation gives your child the opportunity to grow into a leader, embrace every aspect of school life, and finish their primary years as part of the community that has supported and guided them from the beginning. These final years are transformative, providing experiences and responsibilities that help shape confident, resilient and well-prepared young people.
Together, we look forward to celebrating your child's growth, achievements and graduation as they leave Holy Family ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.

Winter Family Sleepout – A Chance to Make a Difference
We warmly invite all Holy Family families to join us for our Winter Family Sleepout on Friday 7 August from 6:00pm–9:00pm in Mary MacKillop Hall. This special evening aims to raise awareness about the reality of homelessness and help our children develop a deeper understanding of empathy, compassion and social justice. By spending a short time experiencing some of the challenges faced by those without stable housing, families will have the opportunity to reflect on the importance of community support and caring for those in need.
The event is inspired by the important work of Mary Mac's Place, Woy Woy, an organisation that provides support, dignity and hope to people experiencing hardship and homelessness.
Families are encouraged to bring a beanie, cardboard and a sleeping bag to help create an authentic and meaningful experience. A light dinner will be provided, and students must be accompanied by a family member.
As a Catholic community, we are called to live out our faith through service, kindness and action. We encourage all families to come along and support this worthwhile initiative. Together, we can help our children grow in understanding, gratitude and compassion for others. We look forward to sharing this meaningful evening with you.

Kind regards,
Pauline Dinale
