What an incredible day! There was a real buzz of excitement around the school as our Grade 5/6 students hosted their much anticipated Market Day. After weeks of planning, designing, advertising and preparing their businesses, it was fantastic to see all of their hard work come to life.
There was something for everyone, with a huge variety of creative and entertaining stalls including footy and soccer penalty shootouts, massage, nails, squishies, tie dye, gaming, painting, face painting, slime and a range of carnival games. Our younger students had a wonderful time visiting the stalls, while our Grade 5/6 students did an outstanding job welcoming customers, managing their businesses and working together as a team.
Market Day provided a fantastic opportunity for students to put their learning about business, economics and financial literacy into practice in a fun and meaningful way. We were incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, creativity, teamwork and responsibility shown by our Grade 5/6 students throughout the day.
Congratulations to every Grade 5/6 student for contributing to such a successful event. A huge thank you also goes to our families and wider school community for supporting Market Day. Your encouragement and generosity helped make the day such a memorable experience for our students!

We learnt a lot from Market Day, especially how you need to have more than one thing to sell. So, as well as Mario Kart, my group also offered a virtual reality experience

Market Day was a blast and went by so fast! We found that it was not about the how many tickets we sold, but how much fun we had. We adapted a lot and attracted many customers through our dunk tank, which was extremely popular!
