Welcome back to Term 2. I hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday break and are ready to throw themselves into a fast-paced term, packed full of learning opportunities, excursions and new experiences.

Country Week

Students have commenced Country Week training within their 'try-out' squads and coaches will be selecting their final teams over the coming week. Students are encouraged to participate in these training sessions for the team they most wish to be considered for, however there may be the opportunity to represent the College in an alternate sport, if not successful in being selected for the first sport of choice. Please speak with Mr Jordan Lee, or individual team coaches for further information.

Formal excursion permission notes, uniform details, student accommodation and so on will be sent out following team selection.

Parent Teacher Interviews

The College has decided to trial a different model than usual for the upcoming Parent Teacher Student Interviews on May 29, prior to the closed weekend.

All parents and staff are invited to a BBQ lunch with the students at 12:30pm outside the Rec Centre. From here, parents are able to visit sections, view progress on their child's project(s), speak to staff about their child's academic results and progress in the classroom and meet with any staff that they have requested an interview with.

Parents are encouraged to contact admin to indicate which staff they would like to meet with ahead of time, but staff from each section will be available on the day for interviews. If you are not able to make this date, I encourage you to request a phone interview with your child's teachers to discuss any concerns.

Flu Vaccination Clinic

The Cunderdin Medical Practice are offering our students scheduled flu clinics to administer flu vaccinations. There is no cost required to receive a flu shot during the clinic. Students wanting to participate will be transported by the College to the Medical Practice on the May 20 at 3:30pm. Permission letters have already been distributed to families, and if you wish your child to be involved in this, then please return the permission note by May 13, by email at   Cunderdin.wacoa@education.wa.edu.au.
