Chaplain's Chat

Looking at the birds brings joy!
At the start of the year when we highlighted the laughing kookaburra as a reminder of Jesus’ words not to worry, but to remember that we are each valuable to God, I wasn’t sure how many we would see. However, I keep getting pictures of kookaburras sent through. Here is one the Lee family sent in:
They are a reminder to laugh and find joy in the many blessings of life.
Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
Baptism
We celebrate with the McIntyre/Smith family on the baptism of Tex McIntyre last Saturday. There was a lot of joy as the family and members of Christ Church Anglican Echuca gathered to welcome him into the church family!
Farewell and God’s blessings to Bishop Donald Kirk
This week marks a significant change in the Riverina Diocese as the Right Reverend Donald Kirk, Bishop of the Riverina, lays up his pastoral staff. After 7 years of faithful service as Bishop and over 40 years in ministry, he is retiring.
We wish to thank Bishop Donald for his regular visits to our school, his prayers and his support of Moama Anglican Grammar. May the years ahead for both Bishop Donald and Camryn Kirk be full of joy and God’s blessing!
Please pray as the process begins for who will be our next Bishop.
Kind regards,
Rev. Tim Bowles
Chaplain
