Level 1 & 2 have been doing teamwork activities this term. Games and activities such as river/lava rescue encourage the students to show a positive attitude, brainstorm and listen to ideas, problem solve, focus, help others, resilience when ideas don’t work and work with their own and others ideas.

Level 3 have just completed a unit on indigenous games, learning and adapting games that were played by first nations children and then teaching each other with modern resources.

Level 4 have also just completed a unit on healthy lifestyles. Working in groups of 3, they have created a slide show or video on one of the following topics: food, sleep, hydration, mindfulness and activity. In the coming weeks, I will be putting them together to make class documentaries about the choices they can make to live a healthy lifestyle.

The Regional competition is a huge step up from our Division Level all students performed extremely well against some tough competition. There are over 440 schools in our Region with some very talented students so it was a terrific achievement for our students to make it this far. A huge congratulations to the students above for their efforts and representing the school so well.

Special congratulations to Isabella A who placed 1st in her high jump event and now progresses through to the State Competition next Thursday 29th October.
