Fire Truck Fun at Curiosity ELC

The children of Curiosity ELC enjoyed a visit yesterday from the fire fighters of truck SRG1, thanks to the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service.

Josh (Harvey's Dad) and the team talked to the children about fire safety and the children demonstrated their knowledge of what to do if there is a fire at school or home, they “get down low and go, go, go!”

The team also showed the children the protective gear they wear when fighting fires. There were lots of great observations from the children about how fire fighters protect their bodies when in danger.

Everybody loved seeing the fire truck lights, the equipment and being able to sit in the fire truck, but we think they especially loved being able to use the fire hose!
