What a wonderful beginning to Term 4.
I pray that the non-school time was a blessing to you all. It has been a delight to hear the sounds of staff and students after two weeks of quiet here at the school. During this time Mrs Barrett, Mrs B (ELC), Mrs Reddy and myself enjoyed time at the Muddy Hands festival, a free family event provided by the City of Tea Tree Gully. It was a wonderful day of sharing art and mess with children from our broader community.
In the coming weeks I am looking forward to hearing from members of our school parent community regarding the future of Good Shepherd - if you haven't put your name down for one of the sessions there is information on the Parent Information page of this newsletter.
Recently we have had a number of questions about ongoing enrolment at Endeavour College for Year 7. As a member of Connected Schools, spaces are held for students from Good Shepherd for Year 7. Provided your child has completed an enrolment form for Endeavour no later than the end of Year 4, a position will be held for you. If you do have questions, please reach out.
As we creep closer to the end of a school year it is often a time of transition for staff who are looking for new opportunities to learn and grow in other schools or moving into retirement. This is a normal part of school life and while it is sad that we say goodbye to staff, it is exciting to see them step into other opportunities that God has planned for them. It also means that we will be welcoming new staff into our Good Shepherd Community and we are in the process of seeking new staff as part of the end of year processes.
While we will acknowledge these staff publicly at the end of the year, I am able to congratulate Miss Kayla Sunman on her appointment to Endeavour College as an inaugural staff member at their new Junior School. We also congratulate Mrs Bethany Kluge on 22 years of service to the Good Shepherd Community as she moves into retirement. Please pray for these ladies as they continue to serve with passion for this term and into the transition time.
Thank you for your commitment to Good Shepherd and I look forward to what this term brings in learning, relationships and life.
Many Blessings,
Evie
