SPX CRICKET - AGM
SPX Cricket Club warmly invites all members of the College community to attend the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), to be held on Tuesday 19 May at 6:30 pm at The Orchard Hotel.
The AGM is an important opportunity to reflect on the past season, celebrate the growth and achievements of our players and teams, and look ahead to the continued development of cricket at SPX.
A key part of the evening will be the election of the 2026/27 Committee, including all Executive positions. The Club is always keen to welcome new voices and perspectives, and we encourage anyone with an interest in supporting SPX Cricket to consider getting involved. That said, attending the AGM does not carry any obligation to take on a formal role - your presence and input are valued in any capacity.
Whether you are a current parent, past player, coach, or supporter of the Club, we would love to see you there.

Football
It was a tough opening round against a strong Oakhill outfit. Well done to all teams who didn’t give up, but a particular shout out to the 14As who had a very dominant win down in Bowral. The trip was certainly worth it!
All fixtures for the season have now been published in Clipboard. The home and away aspect is accurate, please note that the times and venues will change and families should ensure that they check for any changes to game times or locations carefully. Settings can be adjusted within Clipboard to receive push notifications and emails.
Good luck to all teams this weekend.

Rugby
Kings Trial # 1
St Pius X College Rugby welcomed The King’s School to Oxford Falls last weekend for the first trial of the season, with plenty of positive signs across the program.
The 1st XV was impressive with a 35–17 win, setting a strong standard with their physicality and composure. Other highlights included commanding performances from the 3rd XV and 13B sides. In contrast, several matches were tightly contested, most notably the 16A draw and an entertaining 28–24 victory for the 13A team.
Overall, it was a valuable afternoon of rugby that allowed players to test combinations and settle into match conditions. The trial provided a solid starting point as Pius rugby continues to build toward the winter season.
Rugby Supporter's Day – Saturday 30 May at Oxford Falls
We warmly invite all students and their families to join us for our annual Rugby Supporter's Day at Oxford Falls on Saturday 30 May. We encourage everyone to stay and show their support for our 1st and 2nd XV teams throughout the day. As a special thank you, students will receive a token for a complimentary sausage sandwich, available from 2:00 pm.
Many of our Year 12 students have been representing the College on the rugby field since Year 5, and it is a wonderful tradition to acknowledge and celebrate their final season. This event is also a fantastic opportunity for younger students to experience the spirit of St Pius X rugby and be inspired for their own future journeys.
We look forward to seeing you there, cheering loudly and showing your support!
