Year 11 Camp

We set off on the train. 8 hours seems like a while but it was wonderful to have a break from the constant buzz of work begging to be completed just to sit, and chat with others. Each day after was jam packed with interesting activities.
At night I was so tired I fell straight asleep, an unusual and welcomed experience! I am doing Year 12 art right now, so visiting two galleries was great inspiration. A funny moment was when one of my friends wrapped every surface of their cabin’s bathroom with toilet paper to make it “feel more like home”.
Camp was great in that it broke up the friend groups, inviting us to get to know new people. So despite all the activities, one of my favourite moments was the night walk, where I could just chat with others around me. The cooking competition was really fun as well, although it was hilarious trying to find something that we could all eat with four different dietary requirements. Overall camp was a delight, and thank you to everyone who made it possible!
