Induction Mass

Our Induction Mass was held last Friday, 13 February, in the Holy Trinity School Hall. Family and friends were warmly welcomed as we gathered to celebrate those who were chosen to serve as our school leaders for 2026. The induction of our student leaders was a proud and meaningful moment for our school community, as each student committed to leading with responsibility, service, and faith. The celebration was beautifully enhanced by the wonderful live music and singing, which created a joyful and prayerful atmosphere throughout the Mass.

In his homily, Fr Juvi spoke about the importance of trusting in the Lord, always striving to do what is right, and not allowing our hearts to become troubled. Drawing on Psalm 37, he encouraged our students leaders to place their confidence in God as they step into their roles, reminding them that faithful leadership begins with trust, integrity, and a calm and hopeful heart.

Fish Day on Ash Wednesday

On Ash Wednesday and each Friday during Lent, Catholics are encouraged to abstain from eating meat. We will have "Fish Day on Ash Wednesday" tomorrow,  18 February. The canteen will kindly donate a percentage of sales from all fish orders to Project Compassion.

These items will continue to be on the Spriggy Schools Menu for the remainder of the term each Friday for Lent.

Project Compassion

As we prepare to enter the season of Lent, which begins tomorrow on Ash Wednesday, we look ahead to the start of Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion. Project Compassion is our Catholic community’s annual Lenten appeal, inviting us to respond to the Gospel call to care for others through prayer, learning and generous action.

Throughout Lent, students will hear stories of individuals and communities from around the world whose lives are being transformed through the work of Caritas Australia. Through this appeal, families in vulnerable communities are supported with access to essentials such as clean water, education, healthcare, sustainable farming and opportunities to build brighter futures.

This Lenten season, we look forward to journeying together in faith and compassion, supporting our global neighbours and helping to bring hope to those who need it most.

Donations can be made within classrooms or click on the QR to make an online donation.

Keep an eye out for further details on how you can get involved as we begin our Lenten journey on Ash Wednesday, 18 February.

“The good we do today extends far beyond the present and impacts the lives of vulnerable communities for generations to come.”
