New Workshop- Understanding ADHD

The Salvation Army would like to invite you to a new online workshop being delivered 25th May & 1st June.  The workshop will be delivered over two sessions.

 

This two-week program will explore:

  • Understanding the 5 core skills of executive functioning
  • Common ADHD flashpoints
  • Techniques to create an ADHD-friendly life

The Future Doctors Australia Program in Melbourne

We would like to inform students who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine that spots for The Future Doctors Australia 2026 program are filling up fast. The Future Doctors Australia program provides a unique, hands-on opportunity for students aged 14–18 who are passionate about a future in medicine.

Over the course of 4 days, participants engage in sessions led by medical specialists, take part in practical activities, and gain insight into the medical admissions process.

Don’t miss this opportunity to help students gain firsthand experience and mentorship from medical professionals.

National Water Week poster competition

For the first time ever, Year 7 and 8 students can now enter the poster competition! 

Students are invited to design, draw or paint a poster based on this year's theme Water Heroes: Make Every Drop Count. The theme highlights the important role we all play in protecting this precious resource, especially during dry conditions.

There are prizes for a range of ages and abilities. Southern Rural Water is also sponsoring a school prize of $500 to go towards a sustainability project.  

 

Get your entries in by 5pm Friday 11 September for your chance to win great prizes and be entered into the state-wide competition. Winners will be announced during National Water Week from 19 to 25 October 2026.

Win with Tax, Super + You!

The Tax, Super + You competition is a fun way for students in Year 7 to 12 to get creative while learning about tax and super.

 

By entering the competition, not only will students learn about tax and super, but they will also have a chance to win prizes for themselves and their schools.

 

Students are encouraged to think outside the box and create a unique project that highlights their entry topic. They’re given free rein to use any medium they want to unleash their creativity.

 

The competition has 2 entry categories:

  • Junior (Year 7 to 9) 
    • What are my tax and super responsibilities when I start earning money?
  • Senior (Year 10 to 12)

 

The competition runs between March and September.
