Grade 3/4/5

In English over the past few weeks, we have been enjoying a range of reading activities and have recently finished exploring Finding Our Heart. We have now begun our poetry unit and have been reading and discussing poems such as The Ant Explorer. Students are learning about rhyming words and beginning to understand how poems are written and structured. We are also continuing to develop our understanding of conjunctions and how they help us to expand and improve our sentences. Students are practicing using conjunctions to make their writing more detailed and interesting.

In Maths, we have just finished our data unit and have now moved on to addition and subtraction. We are using visual models and hands-on strategies to help us understand and solve problems more confidently.

We also really enjoyed our dance concert yesterday. It was a fun and exciting experience to dance and watch the students showcase what they had been learning with Mrs Parker during PE. It was wonderful to see their confidence and enthusiasm on stage.

It has been wonderful to see the students engaging in their learning and building on their skills across both English and Maths. Not long until holidays!
