Kindergarten visit Food Tech
Kindergarten had an adventure!
Kindergarten heard a story about Chloe the chicken. Chloe was tasting lots of different food and discovering what she liked to eat.
We then made flower fairy bread and biscuits. They were delicious!
Year 2
This term, our Year 2 students have been diving into the concepts of perspective and point of view in texts. They've discovered how different perspectives can alter our understanding of classic tales through engaging stories like The True Story of the Three Little Pigs and The Wolf’s Story. Students have also enhanced their writing skills by crafting opinion paragraphs from various characters' viewpoints. Be sure to ask your child about their take on the "real" story of the big bad wolf—they might surprise you! Students are exploring the fascinating world of patterns and groupings in nature, art, and everyday objects. Year 2 students embarked on an exciting repeating pattern hunt in the school playground this week! Armed with digital devices and writing materials, small groups searched for examples of repeating patterns around the school. Students participated in a Santa Letter writing event that featured a wonderful Christmas display, complete with a beautiful red letterbox where they wrote and posted letters to the North Pole. Everyone had a wonderful time at the Teddy Bears Picnic, where they played games, listened to stories, had their photos taken, and shared delicious food with their teddy bears. Year 2 students enjoyed the Responsible Pet Ownership Education Program last week. They learnt essential skills for being safe around dogs, including how to greet them properly. As we wrap up the year, I want to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of our Year 2 students. Seeing their growth and enthusiasm for learning has been a pleasure, and I am proud of all they have accomplished.
Thank you for your continued support—it truly makes a difference. Wishing all our families a wonderful, safe, and restful holiday. Mrs Wilson & Chelsea
