Our first ever InterSchool Battle of the Bands
The stage was alive with a stunning array of talented students on Wednesday, 8th October, as the very first Cardinia InterSchool Battle of the Bands rocked the Cardinia Cultural Centre! The event brought together phenomenally talented students from Pakenham Secondary College, Koo Wee Rup Secondary College and Officer Secondary College for an unforgettable evening of live music and celebration.
More than 60 music students took to the stage, showcasing their incredible talent and passion for performance. Each band, choir and ensemble delivered their own unique sound and style, making it a truly inspiring showcase of young musical talent from across our region.
Our performers were judged by Mayor Jack Kowarzik, Councillor Casey Thomsen and Music Educator Jacqueline Rodden, who were all thoroughly impressed by the standard of musicianship and creativity on display.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsors - Cardinia Cultural Centre, Cardinia Shire Council, and Simple Cars Pakenham, for making this amazing event possible.
An extra special shout-out goes to Ms Kimberley Hawking and her incredible music team for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm in supporting and inspiring our young musicians.
And of course, congratulations to our Rock Band, who took out third place in the ensemble category with their energetic performance of Still Into You! We are so proud of all our talented students for representing our school with confidence, creativity and passion.
