Returning
We have now finished borrowing for 2025.
Unfortunately, we still have some children with very outstanding books. If you are unable to find these books, please continue to look for them over the summer break. Often books turn up unexpectedly. If that is the case, please bring them back at the beginning of the new school year. If your child/children are moving to a new school and a book/s is located, please take it to the new school library and they will organise to have the book/s sent back to Roselea.
Over the summer holiday is also a great time to wash library bags and check that names can be clearly read. Placing library bags back into school bags immediately also ensures that they are ready for the first borrowing at the beginning of the new school year.
Thank you to all the library helpers this year
I would like to say a very big thank you to the amazing library leaders and helpers I have had this year. I am so fortunate to have the assistance of the library leaders – Deker P, Victoria S, Annabeth L, Jayden Y and Kester T. All our students are very willing workers and help with all sorts of jobs. I very much appreciate all the time these students give to the library.
Once again, thank you to Emma G for the wonderful job she has done with the organising of Book club this year. And also to Karina who has been an amazing library volunteer for the past 7 years. Both Karina and Emma’s help is very much appreciated.
Thank you to Rachel C, an ex-Roselea parent, and her daughter Zoe, an ex-Roselea student who come and help shelve books. Rachel comes each week, and Zoe comes when she is back in Sydney on university holidays. Their help is very much appreciated especially around stocktake time. They are like magic fairies helping to tidy the shelves and keep the library clean and ordered.
Summer Reading
While the borrowing of our library books is finished for the year, please consider books as gifts or taking children to public libraries to borrow. Many libraries have summer programs that children can be engaged in.
Happy Reading!
